FleetBoard Drivers' League 2008 - Best of Master Class
There were over 2000 entries last year, and this year we are expecting even more professional truck drivers from across Europe to take part in the individual driver competition. Mercedes-Benz drivers will individually compete to demonstrate the most economic, anticipatory and safe driving style and rank in amongst the top 20. These top performers will then be invited to the live final for a chance to win and be crowned 'FleetBoard Driver of the Year 2008'.
The first place prize is a DTM racing weekend for 2 people. Sponsors of this event are Mercedes-Benzz Charterway, Mercedes-Benz ProfiTraining, and Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH.
Participants' driving skills are evaluated by the FleetBoard performance analysis service during their daily work, and weekly publications of the interim results can be seen at www.driversleague.com.
For the second year running, in addition to the overall European competition, a contest will be held exclusively for UK drivers to identify the top 'UK Driver of the Year 2008'. The UK winner will be determined using the data from the European competition and will receive a specially engraved FleetBoard trophy.
For further information on prizes, competition rules, and for registration please go to www.driversleague.com.

FleetBoard Driver card download certified across Europe.
Since the market launch in November 2007 the FleetBoard driver card download has succesfully demonstrated its advantages in thousand of downloads.
Independant of the installation of the digital tachograph, the driver card can be directly downloaded in the vehicle. After inserting the driver card into the card slot on the FleetBoard on-board computer, all data from the driver card is sent to the transport office at the push of a button, without the driver or vehicle having to return to base. If a GPRS link is not available, the computer can temporarily store as many as twelve driver cards. The driver card data including the digital signature, are archived, with two backups, in the secure Daimler Computing Centre for up to 24 months and can be read using any hours' analysis package via the FleetBoard interface.
